Invertebrate and Behavioural Physiology Lab

Lab Information:
Through insect model systems, the underlying connections across various stress responses and how they shape an animal's ability to respond to environmental challenges are examined.
Students should be comfortable working with insects and students with a course in invertebrate zoology, entomology, or biochemistry will be preferred.

Couples and Sexual Health Laboratory

Lab Information:
Conduct studies on genito-pelvic pain, transition to parenthood, chronic low sexual desire, and fertility problems in order to improve couples' sexual and relationship well-being.

Study the influence of factors in the environment that can exert permanent programming effects early in life with a particular interest in stress responding and disorders related to stress responding

Neurocognitive Imaging Lab

Lab Information:
Aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of different neurological conditions such as blindness, deafness, and reading disorders by studying neuroplasticity and how the brain's organization can be affected by experience. 
Primarily interested in students willing to commit a minimum of 3 hours per week with a course on research methods in neuroimaging, and either processing or cognitive psychology .
*All students need to complete the TCPS-2 certificate.

Canine Behaviour Laboratory

Lab Information:
Study the conservation ethology of reptiles and birds as well as animal olfactory processing, behavioural ecotoxicology, and behaviour patterns in various species such as; domestic dogs, canids, birds, reptiles, and fish.
